Dirty Halloween!

Posted By:  KickStart @ Oct 28 2006, 11:41 AM
First and foremost, I would like to thank Cam and the entire crew for such an awesome party last night. Jelly's is always a great place and you guys utilize it so well.

To all the performers, great shows!

The pictures that we took are now up in the OTC Pics section so go have a gander at them. (The fire dancing pictures turned out quite well!)

Tonight, hope to see everyone after the EEB (we'll have our camera there as well (IMG:http://www.oaktowncrackup.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif))

More Site Updates

Posted By:  KickStart @ Apr 4 2006, 04:47 PM
Many new additions and updates have been installed on the site latley. So here's the scibby on the new stuff:

IPB 2.1.5 & MKPortal 1.1
I finally got around to upgrading the base software of the site. IPB (the forums) have been updated to 2.1.5 and MKPortal (home page and side bars) have been updated to 1.1. With this update, I now have the opportunity to update another section of the site to be more compatible and integrated...the pictures! This update won't be going into effect for a while though, as I am ironing out some bugs with the beta version of the new gallery software.

Choose Your Look...OTC Gets Themed
Some of you may have noticed a slight change in the overall look of the site, mainly in the header (logo) area. Well, this is due to the fact that the entire site is now skinnable! I've installed a few themes sofar, and plan to install more as I find them. To change your current theme, use the drop-down box at the very bottom of any forum page.

Xbox 360 Live GamerCards
This one is simple, straight forward, and open to any user of the site. There is a new text field in your profile page (accessed via the "Personal CP" link on the left side of the site). It's pretty self explanitory, but all you do is enter your Xbox Live Gamertag and save the settings. Your GamerCard will now be displayed in any post you make (just under your username).

Google MemberMap
Another addition to the "mainly pointless but still cool" category is the Google Map of members. Again, it is an addition that will require users to input certain data. In this case it is your GPS coords. Clicking "Member Map" at the top of any forum page will bring up the google map overview. Then you click "My Location" and follow the instructions. Once that is all done you will show up on the google map. Pretty cool way of getting a demographic of where everyone is in relation to eachother.

Well, thats about it for now. More updates will be coming shortly, including the return of the Event Calendar posting method!!!

IBPro Arcade

Posted By:  KickStart @ Oct 2 2005, 11:21 AM
Now you can waste even more time playing flash games right here on OTC! Complete with score ranking and "fav games"!

I'm still adding games, and have yet to categorize them, but i'm looking to have over 100 games by the time i'm done (IMG:http://www.oaktowncrackup.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dance2.gif) (IMG:http://www.oaktowncrackup.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/boogie.gif) (IMG:http://www.oaktowncrackup.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dance.gif)

To access the arcade, you must be an ACTIVE member here!!! Use the "Arcade" link in the top-right menu bar of the site.

Enjoy

OTC Picture Archive!!!!!!!

Posted By:  KickStart @ Sep 27 2005, 11:59 AM
The time has come to finally give you all the link to the "OTC Picture Archive"!!!

I've started and stoped this project a few times and had to restart it another few times due to computer changes here at the house. But now its finally finished and updated with all the pics i have from 2002-2003!!! Unfortunatly, there is one set of pics that never made it to my computer from the old OTC site....Bum's Paradise Brockout. Will uploaded them the first time i made a call for help, so hopefully he still has them (IMG:http://www.oaktowncrackup.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The archive is read only, you won't be able to make comments or rate files, but thats the way its supposed to be. Also note that the server for the archive is running out of the house here, so it will not be the fastest connection by far.

PLEASE DO NOT LINK PICTURES DIRECTLY TO OTHER SITES!!! The archive is ment to be browsed in whole, and not a storage space for people to post pictures on other sites.

Now here's the link: OTC Picture Archive

Site Updates!

I will be taking the forums down sometime in the next few days when i see nobody else on (probably late tonight) in order to upgrade the forum version from 2.0.3 to 2.1.0. The upgrade might break a few of the custom addons i've made, but i'll be working to fix those asap after the change.

Another update i'll be doing after the forum upgrade gets completed, is upgrading the portal software (MKPortal) from version M08 to 1.1. This upgrade will also happen during a low volume time, but probably won't happen for at least another week or two.
